Spinning Circus Animal® Cookie Carousel

Set the stage and construct a whirling wonder featuring Mother’s® Circus Animal cookies.

Materials

  • Construction paper (purple, pink, and white)
  • Cardstock paper (white)
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Straws
  • Lazy Susan (preferably 8-inches)
  • Hot glue gun
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Black permanent marker
  • Toothpick
  • Mother’s Circus Animal Cookies

Instructions

  1. Make the base from a lazy Susan. Then, use glue to secure some purple construction paper around the sides and pink construction paper on top.
  2. With a 6 x 8 -inch piece of white cardstock paper, draw eight (8) lines spaced, 1- inch apart. Then, fold the paper into a tube shape and glue it to secure the shape, which will hold the big top. Next, glue it onto the center of the lazy Susan.
  3. Glue right (8) straws as the carousel poles, equally spaced around the circumference of the lazy Susan.
  4. With white construction paper, cut out a circle that is the same size as your lazy Susan base. Then lightly sketch sixteen (16) equal slices on it.
  5. Cut out one slice from the circle. Bring the two adjacent slices together and glue to form the top of the carousel. Then flip it over so the drawn lines are hidden.
  6. Add some pizzazz to the roof by cutting out seven (7) triangular shapes with pink construction paper that fit on every other segment of the circle.
  7. Glue the circle on top of the straws poles to create the carousel big top.
  8. Cut out a fun border design with purple construction paper. (Get creative with your design as you wish!).
  9. Add the Circus Animal cookies! Use a strip of paper to glue the cookies in place onto each straw pole.
  10. Top off your carousel with a little flag made with a toothpick and a flag shape cut from purple construction paper.
