- On the posterboard, freehand draw an outline of a Mythical Creatures mermaid cookie (see image below). Then cut it out.

- Use lavender paint to color in the mermaid.
- Cut out approximately 0.4-inch by 0.75-inch rectangles from your white glitter paper to create the sugar sprinkles and glue them to the mermaid, excluding the tail.
- Use purple paint to draw the outline of the cookie chin, hair, arm, and side of body details.
- To make the pin-able tail, put a piece of paper on top of the mermaid’s tail and trace the shape of the tail on the posterboard. Create your own line by eyeballing where the tail detaches from the body. Then cut it out.
- Trace the tail piece over the lavender felt to create six (6) tails.
- With your hook piece of velcro tape, cut out three (3) pieces and place them on the corners of the felt tail. Repeat this step with the other felt tails.
- With your loop piece of tape, cut out pieces to cover the entire tail shape and secure it on top of the posterboard over the blank tail.
- Safely tape or secure your completed Pin the Tail on the Mermaid cut out onto a smooth wall surface.
How to Play
Put on the player’s blindfold, gently spin them around a few times, and dive in! Test their aim and see what unfolds in this pin the mermaid game. The player who gets the tail closest to the right spot on the mermaid wins the game!
